Time never waits…

Reading this post memory feels like it all happened a lifetime ago, or more so in another life to another me. I was slowly on my way back from the Maldives, alone, scared, emotionally lost, and about to face my mom’s dreaded cancer that was coming back with a vengeance…

Reading this post memory feels like it all happened a lifetime ago, or more so in another life to another me. I was slowly on my way back from the Maldives, alone, scared, emotionally lost, and about to face my mom’s dreaded cancer that was coming back with a vengeance…

From what I can physically and emotionally remember, past me knew that I would eventually be ok, but that the storm ahead was going to be quite a shit one. And not everyone would survive it. Time is relative, and flexible and, according to Albert Einstein himself, “the dividing line between past, present, and future is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one”.

I do feel that we are deeply connected to ourselves at different times and spaces, as we are to all the objects and beings that surrounds us. Which means that everything, good and bad, that we experience throughout our life is happening ALL at the same time, because it all exist at once.’

“Our every day experience of time will always exert a powerful influence. We will continue to imagine that time is universal, that past is gone, that the future is yet to be, but, because of our scientific discoveries, we can also look beyond experience and recognize that we are part of a far richer and far stranger reality.” Source: The Fabric of the Cosmos, The Illusion of time

The illusion of time : past, present and future all exist together

From that, we can think about everything that we believe has come to past through human history, reflect on the idea that it is all happening at the same time and choose on how we want to contribute to the unfolding of events; by actively contributing beauty, compassion and love, or by passively choosing to stand by and do nothing.

Even when you think that you are not choosing, it nonetheless consists of a decision that has consequences. There is no such things as a personal choice that only affects yourself. We all bear the consequences of each individual choices, towards ourselves as well as towards the universe through space and time.

Amazingly, with increased knowledge, we can hit the refresh button and self-actualize. 📷
